Astigmatism correction

Astigmatism is a condition in which your cornea or lens, isn’t completely round. It’s common to have astigmatism along with nearsightedness (myopia) or farsightedness (hyperopia). These three conditions are called refractive errors because they affect how your eyes bend (or refract) light.

Astigmatism is easy for an eye doctor to address with glasses, contacts, or surgery.

Surgical correction of Astigmatism can be done with:

- Laser vision correction

- Lens replacement surgery — refractive lens exchange or cataract surgery with toric lens placement

- Implantable collamer implant (ICL)

Each patient receives a tailored assessment to determine the most effective correction method. The treatment itself is straightforward, and most patients experience an improvement in clarity soon after. Follow-up visits ensure lasting results and satisfaction with the correction.
